My Favorite Drugstore Foundation 2015

Have you ever tried a product and thought to yourself "Where have you been all my life?!" Because I have.  More specifically, Maybelline's Dream Wonder Fluid-Touch Foundation.

This foundation is LIFE. It was just sitting on the shelf all that time waiting for me to try it out.  It has a serum consistency.  Much more liquid-like than I'm used to. There is a wide variety of shades available, so if you want to try it out, you should have good luck in that department!  I usually struggle because I am extremely fair skinned.  The shade Porcelain Ivory is perfect! This foundation is so easy to blend and looks just like your skin! I don't ever look cakey at all.  It just looks like a better version of my skin!  I have rosacea, so my cheeks and nose are very red. This covers it amazingly! I would say it has medium buildable coverage.  I am not acne prone so can't speak much on how well it covers any pimples you may have, but for my very red face, it does perfectly!

The day I purchased this, I was so ready to get home and try it out! The applicator is not the best. Its a hard teardrop shaped.... thing.  I'm guessing it was meant to act like a dropper? But it doesn't really work out that way.. To apply, I rub the applicator on the top of my clean hand, and dip my brush (or whatever you like to use) in the product on my hand.  I do not recommend rubbing the applicator directly on your face as this could transfer bacteria into the product.  When I first tested it on my hand, after the confusion of the applicator, I just blended it with my finger. It feels like silk! And dries pretty quick! (Not too quickly.. There is still time to blend.) Its definitely a liquid to powder type of thing.  Like magic.  I have combination skin and feel this works well for both types.  It doesn't make me overly oily and also doesn't make me anymore dry.  It is very natural looking, so its not too matte and not too luminous.  I like a bit more of a glowy look than this gives me by itself, but I'm perfectly okay with that because I get to enjoy my Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop highlight, which I will be putting up a review about in the next few days!

Baby Led Weaning.

Good evening, friends!  Mommy subject today! Baby Led Weaning! Or a better term for it- extremely messy eating!  Noah is 10 months now and he is all about eating!  In the beginning, I really wanted to go the BLW approach.  I loved the way it sounded.  Not spoon feeding him.  Letting him eat what he wants from his plate and learning to chew before he swallows instead of the other way around.  His first food (6 months) was avocado and he absolutely loved it!  But, lets be real, when you go to restaurants, it's so much easier to bring a pouch (Our fav is Plum Orgainics!) or a jar of what ever baby food you prefer.  We try to stick with organics around here.. So, needless to say, I didn't do BLW as much as I liked.  But right now, I have a break from school (Until August!) and we have been putting this whole BLW thing into gear! I have really been working on it for about 3 weeks now and he is starting to realize to chew first. (Thank goodness!) In the beginning, they will gag by natural reflex and it will scare the mess out of you, but I assure you, they are just fine. Noah only has two teeth so, soft foods and/or things that dissolve are about it for now.  Here is one of his lunches!

On his Re Play plate (made from recycled milk jugs.. How cool!) I did 2 slices of avocado with the skin to help with gripping (wash the skin thoroughly with soap first.. they are not the cleanest!), some raspberries pulled apart, and some Plum Organics carrot & apple puree (I load the spoon for him and he *tries* to ring his mouth... sometimes with success and others not so much..)  He ate the raspberries first (no surprise there) and then moved to the avocado.  He kept reaching in the section where the raspberries were so he had a few more of those.  Overall, he loved this! And he ate almost everything! If you have any questions about BLW please feel free to ask me!

The Start of Something New..

I started this post yesterday.  Yesterday.  The joys of being a mom and full time college student.  As I sit here and type this post my little one is finally taking his first nap of the day at 4:10 in the afternoon.  I haven't showered and I'm still in my jammies.  No one is going to see me anyways. Noah has had his days and nights mixed up for about a week now.  The week I had a four page paper due, of course.  So, we've been pretty lazy today  Next week I have a six page paper due... Wonder what will happen then.  He probably won't sleep at all.

What am I thinking? Trying to start a blog NOW?

This was Noah as I was trying to do my first post last night..

Needless to say, I stopped and picked him up and TA DA! He was perfectly fine.  I just wasn't paying him enough attention.  He may be just a little bit spoiled.. Or I like to say he just has soooo much love to give, he has to hold me allll the time! Uh oh.. It appears the clicking of my keyboard has awoken the sweet little love muffin.. Nevermind.  Back asleep.. I guess I should be using this time wisely and do some laundry..

I'll talk to you guys later!
